URGENT NOTICE

The Bahamas Public Services Union (BPSU) Contributory Medical Plan will cause to come into effect new Medical Premium Rates effective 1st July 2009. 

The new Premium Rates are due to the escalating cost of healthcare services and treatment for all of our members.

All members of the Contributory Medical Plan are urged to contact the Medical Plan Office at The George Lafleur Building on Wulff Road immediately with regards to the increase of Medical Premiums.

On Friday March 6, 2009 at 7:00 p.m., The Bahamas Public Services Union (BPSU) Contributory Medical Plan held its General Membership Meeting at The Bahamas Public Services Union Hall, East Street South, Nassau Bahamas.
 
By way of a Resolution which was voted on and passed at the meeting, the members of the BPSU Medical Plan unanimously agreed that the Medical Plan dues be increased as follows:

(Insured + 1 or 2 Dependents)   

Family Coverage (2)                    $216.00             $315.00
(Insured +3 up to 5 Dependents)

 NOTE:    Union Dues of Twenty Five Dollars ($25:00) for Workers and Ten Dollars ($10:00) for Retirees are not included.

Members with more than five (5) dependents may apply to The Medical Plan Office so additional arrangements may be considered.

We now wish to inform our valuable members that the Increase of the monthly premiums will become effective July 1, 2009.
